A whole host of music names including Calvin Harris, Meghan Trainor, Avicii, Jason Derulo, Coldplay are launching profiles on the mobile app, giving fans the change to see what they’re listening to.
“Our users Shazam over 20 million times each day to discover the music playing around them,” said Rich Riley, chief executive officer at Shazam. “Now, those Shazams transform into an ongoing relationship with artists, giving users a truly unique place to get great music content.”
Executive chairman Andrew Fisher told Business Insider: “For us as a company it’s beneficial because we’ll be able to increase the number of users, the number of page views, and therefore the amount of advertising inventory we can monetise.
